Sirens vs Amazons is a new opera by the same composer as last year’s fan favorite Meow and Forever. Tropical, fresh, funny, and filled with queer romance. Just the way we like it for our Pride Month Double-Bill!! Follow the Siren Sisters as they lure men to their crunchy demise… until a boat of Amazon women show up! Throw in a handful of Greek gods, and it’s a party.
Set on an idyllic island in the mid 1800s, our production of The Isle of Tulipatan by Jacques Offenbach gets an updated English libretto by Bridget Johnston. We’re making it naughtier and queerer, with even more gender-bending fun. Celebrate pride and freedom of expression with this delightfully French one-act.
