RIP: Romulus Linney
The prolific playwright Romulus Linney passed away yesterday. A lot of regular theatregoers might not recognize the name – most of his works were produced Off Broadway or in regional theaters. Conversely, a lot of irregular theatregoers may have encountered him, thanks to his stage adaptations of novels by Tim O’Brien and Earnest J. Gaines. (His adaptation of Tim O’Brien’s Going After Cacciato is particularly memorable.)
The New York Times has an obituary.
