Crowd surges used to be a thing of European sporting events and the hajj in Mecca. Now, thanks to raging inconsideration, rampant consumerism, etc etc they’ve become an unfortunate American habit for Black Friday sales. Some recent news from South Africa adds a new trigger: college enrollment.
The headline says it all: ‘Fatal Stampede in South Africa Points Up University Crisis.’
